Ottawa actually declared a state of emergency yesterday, which allows them to seize fuel, food and water... the cops then raided their main fuel storage and took all the fuel... as well as taking it from some individuals on the street... much quieter now that they have to conserve fuel.

they had dozens of full jerry cans just sitting in a small fenced off area outside of the blocked zone, then people were brining it in on wagons.

Regardless of what side someone is on, seizing fuel, food and water seems pretty crazy, is that actually legal? It would seem less harmful to someone's well being if they were arrested.

In jail, you're provided shelter and warmth, you're fed and allowed to have water. How does declaring a state of emergency allow the police to take fuel for warmth, food, and water away from someone?

Anyway, spoiler alert...some farmers had donated purple fuel, which isn't legal for non-farm use. They were burning it in a heater or generator to keep warm at the site. So cops took that and gave a couple people a ride in a cruiser and it was business as usual. The chief thinks he is doing something, but most of the cops are just silently refusing, because they know this is bullshit and they don't want to be thugs when the truckers aren't doing anything and everyone is so happy and respectful out there.

There were 7 bouncy castles out yesterday. Then they shoveled and cleaned up after. Even masks, which obviously didn't come from them!

this has nothing to do with "trucker" is is extreme political agenda. We live in democratic country and demand to dissolve government by bunch of yahoos is as close to coup as it can get. Almost like trying to repeat Jan. 6 in US. US gov introduced vaccine requirements for trucker and canard simply followed. So even if they achieve change in Canada if you want to go to US still need to have this requirement. Sure I will support change of gove3rnment because they do not like it ..
