Just finished a slow cooked beef dip on cheese buns using the juice strained from the broth I cooked with the short ribs, onion, carrot, celery, a couple entire heads of garlic, fresh herbs, salt and pepper all simmered with beef boullion and a can of Guinness.

    Fucking delicious late lunch!!

When my kids were little I started calling oven potatos "Dad's famous shallow fried potatoes". So had those with chicken, corn and gravy today.

    Fresh tomatoes are great.
Pureed tomatoes blended with 90% sugar and vinegar, that stuff can go extinct and I wouldn't miss it.

No I put them in totally raw, don't bother with a parboil. Just tossed in canola oil and then sprinkle some salt.
