I don't understand people who know how much per kilometer it cost to drive, or how much it cost to power an appliance.

    Weird stuff.

I wonder if there is any overlap with people who would consider driving an appliance?

People know that calculation but will run a car starter with the car idling for 30 min to warm the motor.

They probably drive a pickup with "the big motor" because they think they need it for two weekends of towing per year as well.

or that refuse to get anything besides a V8 because of the exhaust noise. Sure, it sounds better, but to base your whole decision on that, well, stupid is as stupid does.

Soon everyone will be getting standalone ecu's not for power but for fuel economy with their dyno tune.
@Yolobimmer , you dyno tune anyone for economy yet?
There’s no tuning for fuel economy, things running in closed loop mode basically auto tunes for it already. Dyno won’t have the data to do this anyways even if it’s possible.

Because it requires grade 4 math. Like you would need to know how to divide the $85 per fill you get by the 590 km you get per tank, (or I prefer the other way, km per $).

It sounds hard, but with a bit of lessons, you'll get the concept.

I still think you can lean things out beyond stock while on cruise.

Tuning for power usually helps fuel efficiency, if you can stay off the pedal.

130 dollar oil is really a massive environmental victory. Liberal voters must be truly ecstatic.

I know 2 of these people. Both drive 6.2 F150s. They don't like the Ecoboost because it doesn't sound like a truck, and need the big engine for hunting...
