I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet but that's a really nice stick.

That is a pretty sweet stick.
is that our prime minister getting ready to fight the nazis?
CPS planted the stick and knife.
/reddit, morons on beyond.
Just heard on the news that officers didn't know he was having mental episodes... You have to be a different kind of dumb to not know this. People were there saying he suffers from a mental issue so that was either ignored or police chief is lying on tv.
TIL ... U guys don't have jabjab on ignore.

It’s good conversation, at least we’re able to see CPS in this situation tried everything in this situation, and see it with our own eyes that they’re not shoot first racist asshole cops that all cops are portrayed to be.
As much as I’ll sound like an asshole, I feel bad for the cop that had to take the final shots that killed the guy. I’ve met cops that had to use their firearms in active duty just injuring the suspect, that shit stays with them for a long time. Cops that I’ve met are normal people too, and last thing they want is to shoot another human being.

Not surprising that Gondek waited until after the video came out and the chief spoke to exactly what happened to come out with a garbage, race baiting response

I can't believe how many times I've had to say this since she got elected but Gondek again needs to STFU! The evidence is cut & dried, CPS did everything they could and mental episode or not, if you come at a cop with a lethal weapon then don't be surprised when you are met with lethal force. The vast majority of the general population would freeze up or shit their pants if they were put in this situation. My only sympathies are with the officers involved at the scene and especially whomever pulled the trigger. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Oh shit, they shot Donatello!
No one's satisfied until he murders his whole family. That would be my projected trajectory if this event didn't occur.
Only end difference is no GoFundMe.
Edit: I also encourage Gondek to do a week long ride along where she is allowed to be front line.
Talk them down with an ear piece in for the support worker coaching her.

Gondek is a train wreck but I do think it does matter if it was a mental episode or not. During a mental episode that person is not himself and should be treated in a different manner then lets say a criminal who is who he is no a regular day. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. How would you have done things differently, without putting the officers or social workers in harms way, given the fact negotiating and non-lethal force did not work to de-escalate the situation? How would you treat an aggressive person having a mental health crisis with a lethal weapon different from your regular run of the mill normal citizen who has a knife and is attacking people and police? This is an honest question because I cannot fathom how there would be any alternate approach that wouldn't put other people in a situation where they could get hurt or killed. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. As someone who has suffered my own bout of severe mental health issues I can definitely look back and say the safety of everyone else would have trumped mine regardless of the mental state and that is 100% how it should be.

This wasn't a mental health callout. It was a call for an assault already committed and threats being made by an armed subject. If this was a wellness check, your point MIGHT be a bit more relevant, but it wasn't.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Are the police supposed to show up to each call, ask the person if they are experiencing a mental health crisis, identify them so they can call their family up to ask them about the situation before doing anything regardless of the action of the person?
