Rover is pretty popular for finding dog sitters. I'd make a profile there whether its full or part time.

Are you looking for overnight or in house dog sitting or more of a during the day daycare setup?

The lady we use when we go on holidays charges like $30 a day to stay at the house, looked after 4 dogs, a hedgehog and a gecko, house plants and light yard work, brings her own food and bedding and when we get home our dogs are even trained up a bit better! haha!

Not much money in it I think.

now that's a great deal! Is there during the day at all or mainly just over night?

She worked like 5 or 6 hours a day at her day job, but she would take one or two of the dogs with her to hang out every day. We would go on holidays for 2 weeks and it would give her like $500 even though she only asked for like $420. She was awesome. Haven' travelled in a couple years now of course, but when we do, she is our call. She owns her own house too but just likes animals and makes a few extra bucks. Only thing is you needed tons of notice because she is always booked. She doesn't even take new clients. We were lucky because a friend who used her was moving and gave us an in with her.

+1 for Rover. We found our sitter there, but then after the first time arranging thru the app we just call her directly and she saves on the App fees.

of course... it's like playing with someone else's kid and then going home with no strings attached.

If it happens twice people in the dog community are going to think you're a cancer man, good luck!

edit - and that legit does really suck, that must have been so devastating to experience.
