I don't even participate in the whole celebrity worship thing, nor do I watch or care about the oscars, but I am involved in marketing some of the biggest brands on earth and regularly work with large publicity firms (entire TEAMS) and this shit simply wouldn't happen.

But also as a human who can read and understand emotions you just have to go as far as looking at Chris Rock's reaction to understand that he was fucking floored by the incident, had a TON of comebacks loaded and ready to fire off, and then either was told not to or was trying to deescalate by not saying anything further.

I see nothing inconsistent or analytically wrong with Buster's stance that this was fake and I don't see a reason to lose sleep over him being wrong.
I believe it was real simply based on witnessing it. He clearly hit Rock and Rock's response was exactly what I'd expect in that shocking scenario. I believe there was zero acting on either side.
But there's no way any of us can prove shit and I'm fine with that.

I said above that it is quite possible that Smith hit Rock and Rock was surprised because that wasn't what was supposed to happen. People are being far too binary about this whole thing.
