Easily in my top 5 things I miss about Calgary, is Thi-Thi. I was just thinking a couple days ago about seriously hitting back the kind sir here who offered to buy me a bunch and then ship them to me in SK in a cooler box/whatever. Never found anything remotely close anywhere local. I hope the new owners keep the "secret formula" rolling with the same consistency. Thi-Thi buries Peters drive in burgers by a mile in terms of being a Calgary staple in my book, although most Gwai Lo especially outside the city have never heard of ThiThi but will automatically respond to Peters.

Haha I just googled the location of Saigon Deli. Can confirm that I will likely never eat there, and it'll be months if not years before I even drive near it.

    Thi Thi vs Thai Thien?
TBH wasn't really impressed by Thi Thi, Thai Thien is great for affordability and convenience as you can order online and pick it up at a set time.

right now though my favorite viet sub is the steak and egg from ha long bay.

Sounds like a hole-in-the-wall place that caters to high school students. I'm on 17th ave pretty often, but the strip mall by a school isn't on my normal route. Will check it out hover, because I am like that.
