Interesting. I was at the dealerships and the athletic park today and didn’t notice a smell.
The prevailing wind should dispatch most, if not all the smell as it’s from the NW - More west however, and that’s one of the ways they can push projects like new Brighton to approval.
But yeah, don’t live by the dump I guess..
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

It was gross Wednesday but before and after haven’t smelt anything
Smells like teen spirit? Light a big match.

Should have left Race City there. Less of a nuisance for sure.
The mystery stench is probably just the big orange pollution dome over Calgary us out of town-ers get to look at driving into the city. Hot weather and an inversion brings it down to ground level for people to enjoy. Has happened before.

I work on 44th street, just south of 114th, and can confirm once I get close to the Shepard landfill the smell most warm afternoons is disgusting. I just assumed it was indeed the landfill, but if citizens south of the landfill or whatever is causing this are experiencing the same stench, I could completely agree with them that it's really gross. When you're driving, it's 30 seconds of puke-worthy smell, but if you had to live with it, I just dunno...
I farted.
The smell by Copperfield is pretty horrendous. I almost puked one night while riding my motorcycle along Stoney/114
I stepped out of the south entrance of New Horizon Mall on wednesday afternoon last week (on my way back home north) and was hit with a horrendous smell I couldn't identity. It really permeated the air.
Is that related to what this article is about, or does the NE side have its own odor problem?

There's a small industrial/agricultural site just south of the mall, where I saw some heavy equipment moving soil etc. so I figured maybe the smell was coming from there.
But it was nasty, whatever it was.
Which mall? All the businesses on 130th?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I really think it's coming from the landfill. I can smell it a lot more on 114th than 130th.
