i thought this was a Mazda CX3 without the corporate grill - maybe i'm the only one seeing a resemblance design wise.

HAH! That's precisely what I thought too, looks like that Mazda. Hilarious.

I took a ride in a friends Urus in Kelowna - the transmission is complete ass in that thing. No like.

I too would prefer to drive an FF or Lusso instead of Ferrari's new SUV. Big time. FFs are a steal so far as steal goes these days IMO for what you get. Much rather do that and buy something else with the massive amount of change compared to the SUV.

It's fine to find the mole at Ferrari because the Mazda-3 in their sexy red looks "highly inspired by" an FF or a GTC-4Lusso, as well.

This is essentially a fat FF.

Which is slightly confusing why you wouldn't just buy an FF for half the price

Better than the Urus, but that's not saying much - the Urus is hot garbage.

It looks just like every other Euro manufacturer that tries to make a sporty SUV. They all have the same design challenges, and they all try to use the same solutions. And they all end up looking like ass. Thanks for going public Ferrari.
Hot is a word to describe the Urus bot not hot garbage. It's been a pretty hot seller for Lambo.

    https://www.motorbiscuit.com/lamborg...d-sales-surge/

But if Q1 2022 is any indication, this year might be even more insane. This past quarter was Lamborghini’s single most successful quarter ever. Despite Russia’s aggression against Ukraine as well as the Felicity Ace situation, the brand delivered 2539 vehicles globally. And much of this success stems from the Lamborghini Urus.

Lamborghini says “roughly half” of its Q1 2022 sales were Urus SUVs. Furthermore, CNBC says the Urus accounts for 5021 of those 8045 vehicle deliveries in 2021. In comparison, Lamborghini ‘only’ sold 2586 Huracans in 2021. And that’s its entry-level supercar. Though to be fair, the Urus is even cheaper.
It's kind of a no-brainer that Ferrari would throw their hat into the SUV ring given the success Lamborghini and Porsche have had with their SUV's.

Ferrari sells consumer vehicles to fund racing, period. They have never functioned like a normal car manufacturer.
Production numbers of this thing's predecessors have been extremely low. I agree that they will sell 111% of these that they make, but I still doubt they will start cranking out 2,000/year.
    Ferrari is weird.

that was ages ago. they are a public company that has to answer the shareholders now. They had a hard time giving away the V8 Lussos, and would often force people to buy them in a package to get on The List. People would then turn around and sell them immediately at six figure losses.

I didnt read the press, but I assume that a V8 version of this thing is coming soon, at a much cheaper price.
