At this point, eating anything that comes from a box, can, or bag is likely bad for you.

I just want palm oil filled “butter” to come out and say it’s not just creme… still not sure how the cartel gets away with that, wish I was allergic, would spearhead the class action. Fuck those guys, bring back real butter!

Yep. Thats the only answer. If the CEO's didn't take such big bonuses we would all be paying $3 for rotissery chickens. There are absolutely no other major contributing factors outside of the CEO bonuses.

EDIT: Just to clarify, this is in response to reddit.

What we need is a tax on these greedy CEOs on excess profits. Anything over $1 is 50%. These grocers shouldn't be making money on a necessity of life.

Don't all grocers just own their own supply chain companies so they can funnel profits into corps not in the spotlight like movie studios do?

The top comment hit the nail on the head though (minus the greed part). They've decided to not use rotisserie chicken as a loss leader anymore. The problem is all of them complaining that Superstore is no longer selling a product for less then it costs them to produce, as if loss leaders are a human right or something.

I mean… is it a loss leader though? Cause it tastes like chicken that was destined for the trash compactor

Is $10 for a whole ass cooked chicken not sold at a loss?

Costs don't matter to the complainers. If the price goes up, that hurts their feelings, and that should be illegal.

So, I buy individually wrapped Kraft caramels and stick them in a dish on my desk. People dart in to grab them because they're actually pretty good - if you like that straight sugar taste.

And they are cheap. Or, WERE cheap. I used to buy them at the grocery store for something like $3 for a bag of 40 or whatever is in there, before I discovered the dollar store had them for $1.00 a bag. This was 2 years ago.

Now, they're $3.00 a bag at the DS and I think I saw it just go up to $3.25. I wouldn't even dare to guess what they are in the grocery store. That's insanity.

In a world where fresh food becomes unavailable and toilet paper scarce, people shall raid the dollar store for what meagre meal offerings they have remaining, and it will be down to the caramels for sustenance. At $3.25 a fucking bag.

Agreed, and I can't afford $3.25. Group meet at said candy dish?

There was a thread for things like this. But it was the worst thread ever made by a man. Instead, these posts land in other threads like this one, as opposed to that terrible other thread.

They probably priced it as $5 but then their costs went up 10% and their graphic designer costs went up 300% so they just used MS Paint to fix it.

Like the good ol' permanent marker changes on cardboard menus.

So the box is extra cripsy? Because KFC has always been sopping wet with grease whenever I've attempted to eat it.
