Not going to happen but Horvat would be great on this team.

I don't believe I've ever seen a more bland and uninteresting team than this year's version of the flames.

Notn one player that even resembles a superstar. Nothing entertaining happens in their games. Watching them is like eating plain boiled potatoes with no salt.

    Boring team is boring.

Either trade coming, Sutter is fired or we draft 15th again in the first round.

Huberdeau might want a change in scenery, back to his roots in montreal. Got too many Centres, can Monahan play wing?

Why would a team in second place in their division consider a trade of any of thier productive players during the season?
The flames are the ones more likely to be dumping assets if you think honestly.
But if they do want to upgrade, it'll have to be through a trade with someone who is also sitting outside the playoffs.

The team plays like the players don’t want to be there, but have to show up for work to get paid.

This is the best description of this year's team I've seen. Well done.

I heard playing pro hockey was fun, but it sure doesn't seem to be.

I don't see anyone on this team who is a game breaker right now. I thought we were getting that in Huberdeau but so far he's been meh. I really hope he turns it around but we are definitely lacking something. The first week or two of the year the team looked great, but we have not had any of the pop we had at the start.

Something needs to change, I don't know if that is with coaching, addition or subtraction of players or what.

First thing I would try is Phillips on the top line with Huby and Lindy. Give that a good 5 or some game look and go from there.

This coach is not likely to give any rookie 5 games on the top line.

That's part of the problem. Something needs to change.

The first week or 2, while power rankings had us at the top, I was pointing out that we had a lot of issues and pretty cool we're still winning. So yea, in hindsight it looks like we were just lucky to be on the right side of 1 goal games.

The Phillips experiment didn't work IMO. He was given PP minutes and looked terrible compared to all the hype. I read somewhere we can't just give him games like that either, without having waiver implications and needing to clear to get sent back down. So at some point after a certain # of games we have to keep him up? Someone more in the know can clarify that one.

You gotta earn top line minutes. He's given a longer leash than other rookies being on the PP, and so far has not impressed at all.

This Huberdeau thing is shaping up to be Ollie Jokinen 2.0. except with a 10mm contact. Lol.

    Nice work Brad
