Anyone want a "cheap" EQS?
https://www.carscoops.com/2024/04/wa...onsider-an-ev/
First year? I thought they had to discount them by 50% just to get people to buy them in the first place

90k now. Isn’t that like.. a great price for that car? I thought they were worth more than that. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Aren’t the engines time bombs that only silly amounts of money can fix?

Well, new I'm sure they likely were worth more. But it's old enough to have its own driver's license and has 100,000km on it. I haven't been keeping track of the prices of them because it's only now that they can be imported, but I don't think they would have been on my radar at all if that's what they've always cost. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Right, but a comparison between that car now and say 5 years ago is what I'm looking for. I'm not terribly interested in why it costs what it does.
2024 Chevy Silveraydo 3500 Duramax
2007 GMC 2500 Duramax
1981 GMC C1500 454
if I recall they were around 100-120k new
And have been basically flat since then either due to appreciation or inflation.

Fair, and I definitely don't know. I've been frustrated by the idea of ultra-premium C-class Mercedes since it became a thing. I think it's silly and watering down the brand. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
*Which is not to say by ANY means that these C AMG Blacks aren't terrific machines. I just think it's the wrong way for premium brands to do their thing.
But don't worry, one day, I'll be running the show and shit is gonna go down...
Did anyone get in on this lease deal for a Polestar 2 Long Range AWD?
https://forums.redflagdeals.com/pole...yment-2688239/
Lease for $299/mo @ 1.9% for 12 months with $1,522 down payment
You couldn’t pay me to get an electric car…but that is definitely aggressive to say the least.
Not bad, $425ish a month it works out to.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

1 year lease would've been a perfect trial to see if our family could live with an EV as a second car and to wait for the car market crash to finally happen. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Can't do it with the nearest service center in Vancouver though... 1,000km flatbed if any major issues or 1,000km road trip for small issues.
Eyeing the Model 3 now after the recent $3k price drop, especially since the refresh is a lot nicer than the old model according to reviews.

Hey baller, any problem money can solve is no problem at all. Don't sweat it.
it feels like I'm surrounded by the vinfast cars of late... wtf - never heard of them? And they're bloody everywhere in richmond/langley...
Those polestar 2’s are hot garbage.
I took an uber in one back in November in Cali and it was shocking inside for something with a polestar badge.

While a far cry from the pre-covid days, truck dealers (and manufacturers) seem to be increasingly hungry to actually move units. I just signed the paperwork for a new F150 Lariat over the weekend. With the X-Plan discount and the manufacturer rebates, I got about $9.5K off MSRP, $0 in dealer fees, no BS protection packages/warranties/service plans, a free spray-in liner and 1.99% financing. They also stuck me in a free loaner for a few weeks until my actual truck arrives (already built, just in transit). Still a painful pill to swallow compared to my last F150 (2018 Lariat), which had an MSRP that was ~$14K lower and a substantially larger discount, but better than even 6 months ago.
GM also stack's GM Preferred Pricing with an even better rate (1.49%), I just couldn't get over how anemic the 5.3 feels compared with the 3.5EB in the Ford.

Off-topic: How did you check pricing under XPlan? I think my employer is part of X-Plan since we use Ford fleet vehiclesThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
