Depends how you buy. I had friends selling nose bleed seats at $500 a piece for game one but found row 1 beside the penalty box for $375 a ticket about 3 hrs before the game. This was done via stub hub which had all these added fees on top.

Lots of ways to snipe good seats last minute.

You can also snap up tickets the day before that the oilers release. Basically need to buy whatever first 2 you get and hope their okay seats. These would be retail pricing(sorta).

I've ended up buying new sets of seats in better sections and giving mine away at retail last year. I'll post here this year in case that happens again

New club record with 89 power play goals this season. Also about to set the all-time NHL team record for power play score % (once this final game ends)

I went back and checked for some perspective.

On Dec 27, the Oilers were 18-15-2, 5th in the Pacific and 9th in the west. They were behind Vegas, Dallas, LA, Winnipeg, Seattle, Colorado, Minnesota, Calgary. So by game 35 of the season they were already 11pts behind Vegas for 1st .

They were a very average team at Christmas, and out of the playoffs.


After that they only lost 8 games in regulation the entire rest of the year.
