We are a sucker for punishment. No screens in the car. I make my kids look outside. They do drink pop once in a while though.
The key is to deprive the kids somehow. For years we did no screens except in the car.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

Here's the trick, you get two kids with pilot seats then they're forced to entertain themselves. Kids will adapt and survive.

Sorry to keep polluting the LC thread but…

GX US configurator is now up

    https://www.lexus.com/build/GX/2024?zipcode=90210

Apparently SEMA had some goodies to show, namely a huge inventory of Lexus AAP accessories ( basically third party shit form solid names like ARB etc. you can spec directly from the dealer ) which apparently is also going to lend itself to the Land Cruiser ( ha see I stayed on topic! ). They are all in the above configurator.

Should mean lots of good 3rd party support for these cars at launch! Hopefully!

@Buster should be happy they have all these dog accessories available direct from the dealer, for when he picks one up!

I wanted to try 4lo, diff lock and crawl control on my GX one time, so I went to a large residential construction site on a weekend to fiddle around a bit. Car was so muddy afterwards and too much work to wash, haven't done it since.

Your love for dogs is so strong that you cannot fathom living a life where you survive longer than your canine. That's hardcore.

The GX is more a defender than the defender is haha

Tbh the new one isn’t really any more or less hardcore than the last gen. It’s always been a very capable platform.

The new LC is a 5-seater, right? Or is it similar to the 4Runner where it's 5 + 2-person bench for rare instance usage?

Land Cruiser is a 5 seater, though GX does have a third row option so that could be in the cards down the road.

I think there is some space issues with the hybrid system taking up space the third row hardware occupies.
