    Default Buying lotsa bolts, where?

So I am working on a project that may need a substantial amount of bolts. Like 40 a week for several months. Very common 1/2 x 2" grade 5. Some nuts and washers too.
I know Calgary fasteners, bolt supply house, Greg's, Grainger and frankly every hardware store sells em.

Let's assume I have no account anywhere. Where's simplest and cheapest for these basic-bitch bolts? Don't want to buy hundreds all at once, would like to buy in batches of under $100 even if that makes it a bit more expensive per piece.

    Whatcha think?

The places you listed sell fasteners by the pound. Charged by material (ie galvanized steel), nuts , bolts, washers are just weighed together. I buy this way from the Home Hardware near me frequently this way, no savings in buying in bulk.

Some good ideas. Does seem like most places are NOT "by the pound". If I get my shit together and buy boxes of 100, the price is really good. Even had one member reach out and offer a company account to see if that has a discount.

Not sure how the pricing compares to the big box stores.

Can buy a wrench for 5 bucks. I'm sure there's some art installations around the city that use that bolt and people won't notice a them go missing.

Did you call any GM dealers?
