I still think you lose the argument for genocide as soon as you factor in the Syrian peoples will to support, continue and enable Hamas. Honestly if I was an Israeli again, after 7 Oct, I’d have been fine with treating Gaza like Dresden, with the exception it’s got a lot of concrete so you’d need a lot more incendiaries.

Then you could bulldoze it to the sea, and move the Palestinians from the West Bank over there, fund the infrastructure and rebuild with the understanding that if a 7 Oct issue even gets imagined by the leadership of the Palestinians there’s that there won’t be any more Palestinians.
