Default Need New Appliances, what should a baller get?!

Wrong thread or whatever but know some of you have bought new appliances recently.

What appliances are the best value for a new kitchen?

I looked at Jennair bc they had 25% off any 5 piece but consumer reports said they’re not great.

Thermador has some good promos right now and seems to be a pretty good option. Wolf/Subzero seems overpriced and not much in terms of promos so don’t think it’s worth it? Appreciate any insight because they all do the same shit in my mind but I know that’s not the case. Cheers

Get a Miele dishwasher. Avoid Miele fridge/freezer. That's the only first hand advice I can give.

It might be important to know if you're getting induction cooktop vs gas. Miele induction tops are good as well, wouldn't recommend an oven by them though.

Thermador is the fancy Bosch line I think.

Second this - did a bunch of research on induction stovetops and ended up putting in a Miele 36”.

I looked at Miele and it all looked awesome, but no promotions and didn’t see the value when it was about 40% more than other competitors packages.

Going for gas, and yea - thermador supposed to be the higher line of Bosch. Supposedly their dishwashers are some of the best. Thermador promotions are good until Jan 1, buy a stove/range - get a free dishwasher. Buy a fridge, get a free hood vent. Combined it’s about $9,000 in savings

I have Thermador everything including coffee maker. House is 5 years old now, no issues in 5 years. Time will tell. Happy with their performance and their appearance

So turns out Miele has a somewhat high repair rate.

LG actually has incredibly low repair rates and are cheap to repair.

Huebsch washer/dryer if you want the best though.

Trail sells Fulgor fridges, only $17K.

I've got all Miele stuff and wouldn't get the fridge or oven / speed oven microwave combo again. Dishwasher is fine and the induction cooktop is fine but I prefer gas.

Fridge is a shit show. Bottom shelves are ice cold, top shelves are warm. Couldn't figure out what was happening until we started to notice mold growing on the yogurt and cheese on the top shelf.

We have the wall oven and it takes forever to heat up. Above that is a smaller "speed oven/microwave" combo. It takes 9 key strokes to get the microwave to start up. No numeric keypad to enter in time.....just keep hitting the same button. Mine are a few years old. At a friends house a few nights ago and his newer model is pretty much the same.

The value of Miele is a dedicated service team. You aren’t using transglobal or what ever other crappy service company.

The service people have pride in their job and know what they talking about.

Our Miele oven is awesome. Better be for $7K for a single wall oven.

For hood vent, ventahood is the quietest per cfms.

I think in general matching all your appliances to one brand is a losing proposition at any price point.

    Miele dishwasher.

    SZ fridge.

    Wolf range top.

I haven’t been impressed with wolf or Miele for wall ovens, don’t really have a recommendation there. Have had bad anecdotal experience issues with both.

Goes without saying but buy nothing Samsung.

Thanks everyone. Funny enough, the Samsung gas stove/range in our old house worked great for the 9 years we had it.

Decided to go with Thermador for kitchen and GE for washer/dryer. Merry Christmas to my wife. And merry Christmas beyond
