14C? His AC bill must be massive
He's Chinese....he don't got AC, that costs money to buy and to run, be reasonable

I should have clarified, his Thermostat won't let his furnace run to anywhere higher than 14......he gets free heat in the summer.

Unless you've got a whole lot of spray cans of various fluids/chemicals, paint, etc.
True. I usually put those in my basement for the winter personally. I am getting heat in my new garage, don't get me wrong, it is awesome, but isn't necessary. Most people who have detached garages don't even bother insulating them, that I don't agree with.

I always assumed ppl kept their garages at ~20C, same as in the house. I have a 3 car, 850sqft, 12ft ceilings garage with a gas heater. I added a ceiling fan and dehumidifier. Not that y'all asked. I like my car comfortable and my snow melted + evaporated. The man door to the house is sometimes left open for the kids to play in/out of the garage.

I just went and lowered it to 7C. We'll see if I hate it.

What did you do for dehumidifier? I'm debating between this and HRV.

Good to know I am not the only one that keeps the garage temps up there, lol. Won't be brining it down in that case. For what's it worth, I wish I had done in floor garage heating, my FIL's place has it and it's the best thing. He also has nice drains which is a must too. When I got my house, the concrete on the garage had already been late so I didn't have the choice but next home, garage drains and in floor heating is something I will for sure be doing.

NOMA 50 Pint Energy StarŪ Dehumidifier. Product #43-0754-4
    $250.

It's fine. I have it drain into my garage sink. It's automatic. I mainly got it bc I have no drain in my garage. My under-car tarp deal works great for melting snow.

i’ve been looking at humidity issue for a bit, is it a big concern? window gets pretty icy since the snow is melting in the insulated garage.

Yea our old place had a insulated detached garage that was sealed up super tight and was decently warm from pulling 2 warm vehicles into it daily and all our tools, hockey skate blades, any exposed metal rusted like crazy. We installed an exhaust fan which fixed the moisture issue... but it also dumped all the retained heat.

Current garage has floor drains so no real issues with moisture anymore.

What is the go to garage heater? 650sqft or so to heat. Companies or heater recommendations appreciated.
I used Jeremy @ King Contracting as he came highly recommended. He put a Hot Dawg Forced Air unit in my garage, just over 700sq.ft. and I was very happy with the install and the price too. I have a gabled roof in that part of my garage, plus the heater is installed at an angle and he got everything lined up beautifully. I have a central floor drain so I've had zero moisture issues. Shoot me a text and I can give you his contact info if you want Nam.

I have a 23 pint and it's not quite enough but honestly, I think I'd rather have two of those than a larger single. I don't have a ceiling fan so I think it might be better to have a smaller one at each end, plus their waste heat just goes into the garage anyway.
