The right wing should form a conservative government party and win a provincial election so they can change the curriculum away from those dastardly lefty school systems who operate completely independently and free from government control.

I'd rather not have what's taught in schools steered at all by whichever party is in power, but maybe I'm a dreamer that way. I think expecting society to conform to government is exactly the opposite of how it should be.

This is an interesting talking point I'm hearing with some radio media people who say the changes are doubling down on specific laws already in place and aren't really needed.

So if that's the case why do they care they are being put in place?

The main point I'm happy about is that it prevents the secrecy being put in place by schools. The teachers don't get to be the role of the parent.

Saw a post on Twitter from a teacher that 7 out of 30 kids are Trans or using different pro nouns. That's far above 1 or 2 %. Wonder what the difference is in her class?
