That's a stylish set of appliances. Will probably follow Fisker's model, unveil new lineup, go bankrupt, get new ownership, go bankrupt again.

For a company trotting out the line "copy nothing", the new Jag concept sure looks a lot like the Rolls Spectre... right down to the design of the wheels.

Going all-in on electric is a bold strategy, especially when Porsche concurrently announces plans to put ICE back into their previously electric-only offerings (Taycan, new Macan, etc). If there's a manufacturer you want to emulate in this segment of the market, it's probably Porsche.

Concept cars in London Blue and Miami Pink were revealed today. They look like every other concept car so I don't see how they have "copied nothing" imo. Production model won't look anything like these so I guess its irrelevant.

That being said, I question the demographic who has 100k GBP to purchase these. JaGUar has already admitted that their current customer base (who does have that kind of money) won't want them, so who are they going to sell these to? They can't even sell the Hummer EV in NA, so who is JaGUar EV for? Is their new competition people who want to pay more for a Tesla maybe? I fail to see how this solves their sales issues?

Wouldn't it have been a better idea to make an EV that competes with the Model 3 or the Ionics/Polestars?

    I'm so confused...

We're also seeing the other side of the "green revolution". Conclusion: nobody actually gives a fuck about the environment.

Also, Jaguar was always dogshit. I can't believe they sold any Type-Fs or whateve.r

The F Pace with the BMW V8 is pretty sweet! Depreciates pretty hard though.

I thought I saw one of the comments on Youtube say from a guy working at Autotrader that they saw a 700% increase on Jaguars being put up for sale (immediately after the ad came out) and none of them selling. Depreciating hard is likely an understatement at this point. I also really liked the F-Pace and the F-Type but never really even considered getting one, maybe now is a good time to buy lol.

My Dad has a mint 98 XJR with under 100kms on it. Its a good thing he doesn't use the internet and still has a flip phone cause he would not be happy with their current trajectory.

People who would keep or sell a car they already own based on marketing for cars that haven't been designed yet, are not people you want to take advice from.

I also wouldn't take the word of a commenter on YouTube saying someone from Autotrader claims a 700% increase in ads.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.
