Figured I'd start a build thread here, since I feel like it's going to be an adventure.
First, let me introduce you to The Party Car AKA the Angry Jellybean AKA a 2016 Ford Fiesta ST. It's purple and loud and fun to drive. It was fully bolted with a hybrid turbo tuned by Stratified Auto out of Vancouver BC, and we put down 272 hp and 310 tq on RCTS' dyno last summer.

Last fall I blew it up at Rad Torque (fka Castrol), I really wanted to beat the guy in a Subaru again - and I did. I managed to get my best time so far, a 13.6 at 103 mph. Not bad for FWD 1.6l Turbo.
How does one blow up a Fiesta ST?
Well, they don't really like when you shift from 4 to 3 at 160 km/hr - 9000 rpms may work in Honda engines, not so much in Ford engines.
Towed it back to the house and started the teardown - it was a slow process since I've never done an engine swap in my life, so I took my time taking things apart and learning.
What was the damage?
So far, we know that all the valves are bent and I've broken the cam shaft strap over cylinder 4 - it's definitely not happy. We plan on taking the block apart further after we get the engine in from the builder.
So, what may you ask is going in the car?
Another 1.6 Litre Ford engine, however - this one is special. Ordered from Mountune in California - it is their 1.6l MRX engine - fully race prepped and forged, good for up to 400 hp.
Block:

... but since I went full send, why not actually go full send.
We have this pile of parts waiting to be installed.
In this pile:
AIRTEC Motorsport TUBULAR EXHAUST MANIFOLD - custom ceramic coated
Whoosh Intercooler Boost Hose Kit
Mishimoto Upgraded Radiator and Fan Shroud Assembly

At this current point in time, we're waiting on the engine.
If you managed to see the car at Driven - yep, it didn't have an engine and yep, we trailered it in.
We're hoping that the engine will come in any week now, and then the fun begins!
