I always thought the difference was two door = hatch, 4 door = wagon. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Can't tell if serious. Does that mean you think all ford focuses, vw golfs, etc that have 4 doors....are wagons? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

But are you really relying on the AB govt for the correct definition of something in this context?
If I was a baller I'd drive a Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo. They look so good.
Since I'm not a baller, I'll stick with my lowly Cadillac. I love driving this thing.
Personal preference but I think the Cadillac looks better then the AMG. With that being said, AWD would be awesome and the interiors and technology in the Benz are miles ahead of the old CTS-V which didn't have many improvements from 2009 when they first came out. The latest E63 is extremely impressive regarding the level of performance offered but they're not cheap either.
I think the Volvo wagons look fantastic but for the price, I'd want more performance vs the luxury that they offer. I'm not a fan of the super/turbo 4 banger that they put in everything now. I prefer the old turbo inline 6 like I have in my '12 XC60. I have yet to drive a newer T8 with the super/turbo/hybrid 4 banger but I haven't read great reviews about that drivetrain.

have to agree on the Volvo though, seems like a lot of long term headaches with needless complexity
sig deleted by moderator, because they are useless
The T5 in my old Volvo C30 sounded good and it was a great little engine, the T6 in my '12 XC60 sounds great and pulls great with 325hp and 354ft-lbs. I ran it against my '11 STI and from a 20 - 140 roll, it was dead even. The old engine series' were great. I've driven the newer T6 XC60's and XC90's and that engine feels lame and overworked. I love the looks of the new Volvo's and I've looked over the V90 many times but the engines do nothing for me.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I considered a Volvo wagon because they look great (and the old T5R is still one of my favorite cars), but was surprised at their cost. They ain’t cheap. Also the people I know that owns Volvo’s aren’t happy with their reliability. Lots of small issues and lots of visits to dealers. Don’t have time to deal with that shit.

That surprises me. A co-worker has been leasing S60's (His) and V60's (his wife's) for over 7 years now and hasn't had a single reliability issue with any of them. He only leases for 3 years at a time though, so maybe it's long term problems? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
No, these are new cars new problems. XC owners, electric gremlins was the main problem. One friend was pretty pissed off at their XC90 screen's ability to fail at the worst time and Volvo couldn't figure out what was wrong. I told him if he wanted failing and rebooting screens while he's driving, he should've bought a Tesla. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I have momentarily looked at the XC90 and with the R-Design (aesthetic upgrades) it looks very nice. Interior and finish is great but I just cannot fathom the inline 4 turbo and supercharged engine, it is quite uninspiring. For a non-enthusiast I guess it is not noticeable (engine is also loud, not in a good, luxurious way).
A lot of Volvo owners I know are long-time loyal customers. Modern BMW and Mercedes-Benz has so much to offer for similarly equipped.
I always liked this one, satisfies my boy racer needs:
^^Do you have a Polestar?? Those seem like they'd be fantastic, and are pretty hard to come by on the used market (I couldn't afford a new one). The one thing that was really offputting for me was the fact they're auto and performance oriented, but don't rev match on downshifts. I know it might be a minor gripe, but it seems insane to me.
I've driven a few Polestars, they have good power but definitely come off as a second-tier performance sedan/wagon, pretty much in line with your comment. They do not compare to something like a S4 or C43 in the more important areas. They sure do look good though. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ride quality is bone crushing in the Polestar wagon I drove. For that kind of stiffness they need to have another 150hp.
No, I have test-driven them and the sedan. They're okay and I found them nose-heavy or maybe it's because my discrimination to FWD-biased AWD.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Actually in the market for an IS-F for a daily.
I already have another wagon to boot.
Is this bitch coming to Canada? Looks hawt!
