Restaurants re-opening under same ownership and new theme is NOT relevant to covid. Happens far too often because restaurant people are super creative, but generally not good at business.

I have seen enough of these posting around Mission and 17th Ave to know that they are definitely done. With social distancing, that's a lot of real estate not used and can't be used going forward compared to typical pubs.

It was good too.

Belle lasted a bit over a year, open before Christmas 2017, close new year 2019. Then Buttermilk did a weekend brunch pop up for a bit before its empty again right before COVID lock down.

Ever since the property tax offload from the core, the restaurant turn over went into overdrive on 4th even before COVID.
