Yea chasing someone down and beating the shit out of them in retribution/punishment when they are fleeing is not generally respected as self defence even in the most lax jurisdictions.

I’m guessing evidence exists ( like a camera ) that buddy chased him down and took it too far.

We should be ok on this on this wood burning oven thing. One of the fatal flaws with climate hysteria is that they seem to think the CO2 from burning wood shouldn't count. Why? I've heard them try to explain that eventually dead trees decay and off-gas/convert to CO2 so burning biomass to generate power or running it through a gasifier is #ecoRainbow.

But the real reason is that the CO2 naturally emitted by one to two seasons of forest fires likely exceeds the CO2 emitted by humans in the past 150 years and that doesn't quite match the narrative...

So the long and short of it is that it's going to be a little unfair to count carbon from wood whenever they feel like it.
*Although unfair is their primary language...
