Probably, although it's better than some other silicone sprays because it's clear and doesn't stain the rubber with that white residue. So that's nice.

I didn’t buy the old battery it came with my trailer that I bought used.
Replaced the water heater anode today:
Just the standard size one from Canadian tire I already had one of them on there. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Tonight after I had disconnected my charger I went to put the slide back in and found that my trailer had no electricity.
Other than cleaning the connector is there any other way to make the pole and nuts more conducive to electricity? It seems that the ring connector is a bit too large for these thin poles yet had no problem on my previous battery also it seems that the nut holding it on doesnt conduct electricity? when I test the battery I can only get a good reading in that dot on the top of the pole.
Other than ensuring good contact, dielectric grease?
How's the connection to the ring terminal look?
Longer term, a new ring terminal that more closely matches the stud on that battery.
For today, clean it up, and tighten it good.

Never had a problem with it until today. But i agree a smaller ring terminal probably will fix this problem.
Picked up the new unit and headed out for a night of crownland camping. Pulls good and we really like the layout and floorplan of this one. But f**k me the QC is atrocious. First night camping we discovered two leaks (bunkhouse window and the storage compartment where the outdoor kitchen is).
Today I put in some water and turned the pump on only to discover three other leaks (bathroom sink, shower drain and water heater). On top of that the oven doesn't turn on and the water level sensor must be screwed as it shows the tank as full even though I put maybe 20L in there. I wonder if the people that build and subsequently service these things have ever had any pride in their workmanship or if they're trained to not give a f**k.
Sounds pretty typical for brand new RV's unfortunately. I hope it all gets fixed for you without too much drama or missing any camping days.

Beautiful unit. Normal for them to ride that high these days or is that a special height?
For something brand new like that that I know isn’t cheap that QC would bug the shit out of me.

From what I’ve red on reddit camper group.. 75% of the QC is done at the dealer level.. the manufacturers just pump them out and the dealers fix the issues.
Just doubled my battery capacity on my truck camper yesterday.. 450 AH and 300 watts of solar

This one definitely sits a bit higher than the other similar units we looked at. The black/grey tank drains on some seem to sit less than 8" off the ground which just seems like a recipe to rip it off on a steep driveway.
Dabbed a little dicor self levelling sealant around a few areas that looked suspect on the roof today. Always worth inspecting the roof twice a year.
Filled a propane tank. Just can't beat $12.99 at the fill-in-go.
Another option for 6v GC2 batteries, Hobo camper country sells these for $210.

I know a lot of guys have trouble finding parts for their RV repairs, and these dudes posted some funny video on youtube that caught my eye. Haven't tested their price/quality/service yet, but if you like online shopping instead of buying local, these dudes are in Vegreville and see to have a decent selection. https://youngfartsrvparts.ca/
Still would probably check out Hobo first, because those guys always give me advice with the parts, which I sorely need. Website looks a couple bucks cheaper for the Dicor Sealant I most recently bought, but you'd have to ay shipping and wait as well. Maybe worthwhile for a bigger order.

Not really a "repair" but maybe a Tip or Trick. My outside fridge is where I keep my beer, and it has a nasty habit of popping open while I am driving. That really frustrates me, because when i get parked and just want to get drinking the cans are all shaken up, and generally pretty warm. No good, particularly if I'm camping without hook-ups, since that outside fridge works on 110v power only. .
So I use some very high-tech velcro strapping I had laying around, and a chunk of foam pipe insulation, and made a door holder-closed-strap(patent pending).
Works better than that same insulation foam on a board of wood, which was my previous method. I'm pretty impressed with myself.

Hah, you may be right. I just live so far from any costco that sells fuels that I don't even consider them. I'd be an hour round-trip for me.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I'm always paranoid as fuck about my trailer fridge, because it's over 45 years old. It finally bit me in the ass last weekend when the plug at the park was shitty, and the fridge went warm overnight. Warm domestic beer is terrible.
So I ordered this from Amazon. One sensor for the fridge, and one for the cooler. Has a settable warning alarm so I know if they get too warm.
