Holy fuck these last couple of posts hit sooo close to home…
The best one is when the truck and trailer are jack knifed and they expect the you can back straight up on command …
I think the pull through was invented by a married man ….

Anyone here using crossbars on your RVs/trailers?
I've been wanting to put a set on my teardrop so I can mount my cargo box on it for extra camping storage and I think the easiest way may be to get a set of artificial rain gutters:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0002MBP82
and adding a set of rain gutter footed crossbars since they are more "universal" (ie: not vehicle specific). At first I was thinking of getting a cheap crossbar like these:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0002MABL4/
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B019DP6UG0/
But reading the reviews and these sound like they rust pretty easy, so maybe spending a little extra and getting a Thule aluminum set is the way to go for longevity. Added bonus of going this way is I can re-use them on my Jeep or my next trailer down the line.
Does anyone have other suggestions?
Yakima makes/made a similar setup for their old Q towers. They might have a similar setup for their newer systems too.

I don't have a need for adding crossbars to my trailer, so I can't comment. The only thing I'd be concerned about would be ensuring the mounts are anchored into something solid and sealed to prevent leaking.
The Thule artificial gutters are cheaper and they can be side or top mounted. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I might actually have a set of the Yakima ones somewhere in my garage as well as a set of Q towers...
If you do and you're selling them, I'd be interested in them. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ugh. De-winterizing the trailer for this weekend. I guess I missed a line when blowing them out last fall. Massive burst pipe, did a "quick" repair, and now found another leak, at a joint, that I can barely reach with my hand. This should be fun to fix.

UPDATE! I fixed the other leak, but to do so I needed to remove the fresh tank fill tube, which resulted in me cracking the flange on the tank itself. So now I can only fill about half my tank before it starts leaking out. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I don't think I'm even going to enjoy this weekend, and it might end up being the only trip we do this year. I've got too much other shit on the go to fix this properly.

I saw some propane fire bowls at Costco today for $109. Good for the upcoming firebans
Propane fires are handy, I have one for that exact purpose.

Those bowls are good, they actually throw heat and not just for looksThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
See Crank. See Crank Walk. Walk Crank Walk.
Went out to start the de-winterizing process, check for burst pipes, flush the water system etc. Somewhere over the winter I managed to lose the carrying strap for my Trojan T105 Batteries. Man those things are awkward without that strap!
Also, can't get my slide to go out. I've had problems with that slide since new. Will have to look up the override procedure and take care of that before our first trip.

Went to go pick up our trailer today at lunch today and it along with several others had been broken into. One of the hatch handles is all messed up now and our bikes were stolen
If anyone has a trailer at Glenmore Storage (15 Technology Way SE) you may want to go check out your unit.
If by chance anyone sees a Blue Norco (male frame) or a Grey Diamondback (female frame) both hardtails, on kijiji or FB marketplace please let me know.
Sorry to hear that.
Were you the first one to find out?
Yah, there was one other guy dropping his unit off at the same time, as soon as I pulled in he told me to take a look at my trailer as he noticed a lot of storage compartment and doors on trailers in the yard were wide open.
Glenmore Storage of course has no CCTV and relies on a security guard driving around "periodically", completely useless.
If you're looking for different storage options in the area I used to store at Canadian Leisure RV Storage.
Not cheap at 70 a month but they have CCTVs and the usual security rounds which as you said pretty much useless unless they happen to be there in the their rounds when something's going on.
We're moving in mid-July so I'll be looking for something a little further South and preferably with CCTV this time.
Are there rules there about blocking the exit and entrance when going in and out?
Real security is not possible. Stow-Away has cameras, razor wire, guards etc, but eventually all those places have break ins. It's probably paying guests or friends of paying guests doing the stealing.
