was trying to apply for a position in this company, but when I googled it many scam type related news came up, especially in Asia,(Malaysia,Singapore) regarding to the edgeworth project in Edmonton.
Is it good company to work for?

Had a buddy working for them probably for 10 years now. Never had an issue, lived in Phoenix, paid well.
No word on scam but I guess anyone can be accused of this if you're in the land development industry and the economy has a down turn. Promises are broken, etc, etc.
Walton is a legit land development company. Pretty decent size player in the Calgary market as well. Can't comment if they're good to work for or not though.
Walton threw the best company party I've ever been to... by far
Thanks for the input guys.
This is really helpful!
I thought they were more into land banking then developing?
Are you hot or at least easy on the eyes (applies to both sexes)?
Seems to be a prerequisite for working at Walton.
At least it seems that way when I shared the same office tower with them on 5th.
Seriously?!!Originally posted by Xtrema

I briefly dated a girl who worked there. Saw some pics of her with co-workers; very true.Originally posted by Xtrema

Could be a sign of poor corporate governance.Originally posted by Xtrema

an insider friend of mine basically said it's Enron 2.0
walton has managed upwards of 15000 acres of land between edmonton and calgary. I read elsewhere that they use lots of investors for the land they aquire so with this bankruptcy that is happening with them there could be a lot of investors out money if its true.

Ex-wife worked there. Lots of hotties and yes the parties rocked. I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did.Walton International Group Inc. and 32 of its affiliates have obtained protection from their creditors and will attempt to restructure under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act
