Great article from Danielle Smith confirming that djpatam is an idiot

^ Smith hit the nail on the head there. Great article. Thanks for posting that.
Looking around
Wondering what became
Of what I once knew
Have to agree she has some good points. But I thought these pipelines not getting built was Trudeau's fault? The Liberal's fault? Montana's fault? BC's fault? Anyone who isn't a Conservative's...fault?
Is pretty interesting how someone described as an "environmental nut-bar" can do a 180 and advocate for our O&G industry. Normally I'd say when someone changes their tune when presented with more facts and information is a good thing, but I'm sure I'm the only one.
Ultracrepidarian
Well the NDP and people try to hold Kenney to things he said decades ago.. so which is it?
If they came out and said, I was wrong and I don't believe that anymore - I would likely believe them.
I appreciate that Notley has finally seen the reality of how this province works and that the carbon tax virtue signalling bought us no social license. Doesn't mean she has a chance of getting a vote from me.
Although I'm not an NDP supporter, I will point out that one reason the "social license" failed is the conservatives and a large portion of the province made it well known to the people the NDP were trying to influence that once a new election took place all of the actions being done would be undone. Why would anybody give us a "social license" with that being the case? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
This does bother me a lot actually. Oil & gas has been struggling forever. Day 2 of GM watch and the prime minister is meeting with union leaders and GM to help bail them out. I didn't expect less, I am just really disappointed in the massively different response from our federal government. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I don't know what to do politically, I can't stand Sheer. Maybe will abstain.
Cos...
Because you are fucking delusional She didn't change her tune because of facts or information, she changed her tune because of POLLING, literally THE WORST reason to do so. I've actually lost even more respect for her as now she's just a whore for votes. I can appreciate someone standing behind their ideals, even if they are IMO wrong. But just being a lying snake trying to stay in power. FUCK those people. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Seems very appreciative to me.
You can have respect for someone, and still hate them (or in the case of ideas, strongly disagree with them). They aren't mutually exclusive. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Understand as well, the hierarchy of respect for me places ideologues above the power hungry. That doesn't mean they are people I like, it just means one is ever so slightly less shitty than the other. That's why I didn't vote PC in 2015 in a nutshell.

Perhaps you've never seen a politician before? But they will say bloody well anything to get elected and stay on the tax payer tit. Just remember that actions speak louder than words. She can "advocate" all she wants for O&G, but when nothing of substance actually gets done, and her cabinet is filled with anti oil protesters and activists(including herself), it's not hard to see what the true agenda is.
Global alternative energy employs more people than does the dirty stuff.
In Canada alternative beat tar sands employment 4 years ago.
We should just shut the tar sands now. We know we have to change. Its inevitable. That's a good start. And we can reinvest cut our huge clean up losses now
Notley is being either disingenuous or ineffective. I don't care which one it is.
Even with it on ignore I know the post above Buster's is the dumbest thing said. I appreciate predictable regularity, it's like bran flakes for the forum.

Looks like Notley is going to intervene and implement production cuts. Announcement coming Sunday.
