Now let's talk about the most important result here, the Corvette Looks like GM sent C&D a Corvette that works this time unlike the one they sent to MT to run in the first test against the NISMO GTR and unlike the one they sent MT for Best Drivers Car.
"In the nine year history of the Lightning Lap competition, only one car has run a faster time – the $875K 2014 Porsche 918 Hybrid which was faster by only 1.5 seconds."
And of note that GM's test driver was substantially quicker than the 2:44 time the vette just put up "Chevrolet test driver Jim Mero’s fastest lap in the Z06 at VIR was an even quicker time of 2:41.3 which he ran last year."
