The first car introduced at the LA Auto Show this year was the 2017 Giulia by Alfa Romeo and that made the rest of the show rather boring as this was easily the best car of the show in my opinion. The Quadrifoglio version, powered by a Ferrari-built 2.9L twin-turbo V6 that sends 505 horsepower and over 440 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels, was the main star and is what Alfa Romeo will be depending on as it makes its long awaited return to North America. There is extensive lightweighting on the Giulia Quadrifoglio with the carbon fiber hood, roof, active front splitter and driveshaft. This results in one of the best power to weight ratios for mid sized sedans and a near perfect 50:50 weight distribution. Now, all of this will come at a price and as we have just learned, it will be somewhere around of $70,000 USD.
