Sound like the NW end of the city is getting a lot more rain than central a south ends. Weather network says they've already had 30mm more, and could be getting 50mm more by the end of tomorrow.
So if you live in Tuscany, check your downspouts.
First day of SUMMER!!!
And... My heat has turned on to keep the house above 18°C because it's single-digits outside...
Fuck.
Aspen was getting a pretty good rain this morning, downtown was just spitting as I walked to work outside. Friggen house is freezing but i refuse to turn on the heat!
Why? For virtually pennies you could be more comfortable. I used to work with a lady who shut the gas off to her furnace at the beginning of May and wouldn't turn it back until October. You're still going to pay a bunch of monthly surcharges, the cost of gas and electricity is minor in comparison. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Will fuck off, again.
Heating your house is more efficient than cooling your house too. I don't like doing both on the same day, but I don't mind turning the furnace on for days like this.
Obviously call and get the gas disconnected for the summer. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Are you talking in terms of BTU per $$ of energy consumed? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Well, yes, and also on a thermodyamic level, because most of your activities in the house will release heat, while none except AC actually remove heat from the houses "system".This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Or you could do the cheap thing and open up windows before sun-up for free cooling.
Cocoa $7,000 per tonne.
Thats exactly what we do - open the mainfloor windows (enough to hit the safety stop) and put an extractor fan upstairs. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It is fucking givener down south lol some serious rain
Heavy rain with hail in the Canyon Meadows area. Hail about the size of corn.
Super weird storm if your watching the wmi radar. Crazy cloud band north of Calgary too
Lightning from all directions here in McKenzie. Starting some heavy rain
What a weird fucking storm lol just a huge strip over town now
The thunder is endless
Yea, thats unusual - here in Deer Run area. Rolling continuous thunder. Heavy downpour - gutters have no hope even though cleaned.
WMI radar - showing, literally a band of multi storms JUST over the city (no where else).
My eavetroughs have no hope
Power flickered briefly in the Hamptons just now. Friends in the more inner city NW say their power is now out.
Eavestroughs overrun, power out in Mount Pleasant.
