I found myself drawn to the discount and not paying for 6 months thru summer season.

Cochrane is not "small town". It's basically Tuscany +12 minutes and +14 attitude.

They did have Tacomas in the showroom for more than $100k, so anything is possible. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I love when dealers try to pull that shit. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
No it’s not, nothing is.
You can still buy a vehicle with nothing extra on top except $100 AC tax, $20 tire recycle, and $6.25 amvic.
EVERYTHING else is optional. I always get dealers to roll admin fees into the cost however they want, but I will not pay them. Usually it comes out of the holdback.

Didn’t the 2021 get a nice power boost? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Doesn't matter. The first thing you do is drop in a 2JZ.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
335 vs 382. I believe they finally drop a detuned M2 competitor motor in there. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
From most reviews, the don't expect it to be any faster other than bench racing but there are other chassis revision as well and exhaust sounds noticeably better.
So 2020 is only when you are chasing discounts.
Nope, totally different engine. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The M2 competition engine is the M3/4 detuned version. 7600rpm.
This one isn’t that one.

The 2021 Supra gets the high output version of the B58 engine. It has a different head, pistons, etc from the B58 in the 2020 models. The M2 gets the older S55 engine from the M3/4. The S58 is in the X3/4M and will be in the coming M3/4. As you can see from the linked C&D dyno the 2021 models got more than just a minor power bump as this should put it in some expensive company when it comes to straight line acceleration;

Serves these dealers right. They were probably sitting on this thing trying to sell it for full sticker if not more and now Toyota improves the 21' by so much nobody wants a 20'
I'm interested in picking up a Supra and I've been doing some research. Is the 2020 a confirmed sales flop? a victim of circumstances? There are 1000 units listed on cargurus (I'm down in the US) and the cheapest new unit is listed at $44K. Could be some additional discounts to be had once the 2021's start to reach the dealer lots.
@rage2 - I'd love to hear your opinion on the Supra. I was originally looking at used values of the Lexus RCF and ended up cross-shopping with the Supra around the $45K (USD) price point.

I'm probably not the right person to ask. I really like the new Supra. It looks great, especially in yellow. It's got good power to weight ratio, and seems like a really fun car. With that said, I would never buy a new turbo car again without hybrid. I'm done with lag. But that's just me.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I think it's great bang for the buck. It's basically a Toyota 86 with decent horsepower. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I could care less about a brand name. The Supra is a unique car in a world of mundane commuter appliances. What I am concerned about is the maintenance costs after warranty, and the position of that timing chain makes me nervous. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I look forward to seeing the comparison testing between the turbo 2 platforms. Camaro 1LE, Mustang Ecoboost with Performance Package, and the Supra.
@rage2 - I couldn't think of a more qualified opinion. You are the only person I know who owned a Lexus RCF and is looking at the Supra!

I do miss my RCF. I'd buy another one if it wasn't for that atrocious infotainment system that sounds fucking amazing. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
