Canada's debt is nothing the middle class can't pay off over the next millennium...
Didn't know so many people on Beyond had been tested!
Anyone come back +? Hope everyone is doing well.

We'll just have to close a few hospitals to save the money! Easy!

I know 2 that have tested positive. They can share their stories if they want to.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I was +, test was basically as I was finishing my 10days asymptomatic. Swab + they did a blood draw since I walked across the street to the test facility. AHS/healthlink/whatever didn't contact me - found out from my GP.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Kicked my ass for 5ish days, then felt good for a day, then knocked me down for another couple. The 5th day I thought for sure I'd be needing hospital. Could barely stand up without the world spinning - not a lot different than a good case of pneumonia. The next day I felt great, got the house tidied up, fell asleep on the couch slept for almost 20hours... And it was done.
Damn!! Glad to hear you are doing better.
Do you know how you came in contact?
It's a really unique disease. Did you check your o2 saturation? You probably were experiencing the equivalent of high altitude hypoxia. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
No clue where I got it. Not like I'm out and about and a social butterfly - even before covid I can count on one hand (with missing digit) the places I visit.
No o2 #'s, healthlink kept saying give it a few more days, don't go to the hospital. And I was only too happy to oblige
Oh no! Glad you're ok.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
You said you smoke darts, right? I've got to think that smokers are getting this WAY more often because of so much mouth touching right after door handles and just mouth touching in general. Shitty because I imagine they will struggle with it a little more, as well.
That, and because High River completely exploded with cases.
Interesting, thanks for response.
I’ve been hyper-vigilant (aka paranoid as fuck) to avoid it as much as I can since I have asthma. Lysol wipe everything that comes into the house. Yelling at people who violate my 6ft bubble. Spend 2 weeks away from wife after her shifts at hospital. Strange times indeed.
I don't think asthma is a huge contributor to severity since the diseases function so differently. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Haha don't forget they're testing nicotine - as smokers are statistically underrepresented in the hospitalizations. Would also explain SE Asia's somewhat odd numbers. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
No way to know - if I had to wager, my Shiney nickle would be squarely on kiddo who didn't get sick - brought it home from school. Neither of the kids had any symptoms, and they were both with me the days leading up to getting sick.

Time for me to grow a pair and shake the fear.
When did you have it?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I had the exact same symptoms as this woman about two weeks prior to her getting sick:
https://calgaryherald.com/news/local...mpression=true
At the time I was sick they were only testing people with fever, cough and difficulty breathing. I'm really wondering if I've already had it. My symptoms weren't severe but they came on super fast and it just felt weird compared to a normal cold. Hit me like brick in the head while at work, went home and slept over 12 hours per day for 4 days. Like yours I felt like ass one day and then almost totally fine the next.
I work (worked?) at the airport so I totally could have had contact with early cases. I really want to take an antibody test.

Health Canada are being dipshits with the antibody tests
Well the point is if you have a cold or the flu or something else they still want that spread less. If you are negative but pass your cold onto a couple people then thats more people thatll needlessly get tested for symptoms. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Mar 28th I felt like crap but was kicking kids to their moms. The Saturday my throat was scratchy, headache cough was getting bad. Headache tired scratchy throat and the nasty cough was all I seemed to have. I didn't catch any fever - but I never seem to run a fever anyway. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I didn't have a fever either. Mine was massive headache, brutal sinus congestion and a little bit of a scratchy throat. I had some body aches but it's hard to describe how it felt different from other colds. I guess fatigue would be the best word. I just wanted to sleep most of the day. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Oh I didn't realize those were rapid Covid19 virus tests. I thought they were antibody tests. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
