I blame UCP for not bring harmony amongst us. Instead, they just pit us against one another and watches the province burn to the ground.

Public sector employees get the shaft every single time. When the economy is good, they are forgotten by the public (as the government isn't going to do a salary match). In bad times, everyone is jealous of the public sector employee for job security and wishes the government would just cut everyone.

"There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know."

When you put it in perspective of the worker, who knows they are worth 15$, but getting 22$. It probably does feel like a gravy train when you're making 10 grand extra a year than all your friends.

They're on limited time before a commercial grade roomba took der job!

You think you deserve the newest iphone 12 because you live in North America? The same 3 apps you're addicted to still work on iphone 6 or SE or whatever it is.
Consider voting out your Union and get on with life and probably get recognized if you sweep better than your neighbour. Not paid more for being complacent for more years than the next.

Maybe I am getting my Beyonders mixed up, but gwill appears to have the most confusing ideals/beliefs of anyone on this site.

I don't have anything else to add, you're just a rare breed.

He supports slashing government spending............................ So they can have more money to give to the Indians. It's not really "spending" when you give it to Indians. It's like church tithing, it's a payment to relieve your guilt.

I'm lucky that the public sector employee in my home is well treated and makes better compensation than comparable private sector jobs. Haven't done wage comparisons of any other positions.

If the support jobs are cut at AHS, are they really lost? Presumably, the private companies that get the contracts to cover the additional work would have to staff up? Or do these companies have enough capacity?

Guaranteed income for 25+ years > Income based on economy conditions. I'll take my 2-3% raises every 4-5 years and live fat and sassy. Could maybe make way more in the private sector when the economy was booming, but I'd be out of a job now soooo.
