dealer just called wanting to "buy back" my Atlas. I took the call because I was bored.

sales person: "blah blah blah, same payment"

me: "I dont have a payment"

sales person: "what trim is it?"

me: "cant remember, I bought it from you guys, dont you have that written down?"

sales person: "are you looking at a trade?"

me: "no. cash offer only. As in, I will trade my car for your money"

sales person: "we'll get back to you."

*Sales person proceeds to visit sales manager*

SP: "Excuse me sir, how do I deal with someone who isn't financed to the tits on a vehicle? Its not in the script!"

SM: "Avoid them, they are too smart for us"

Dealerships will gladly pay money for vehicles. So you should get a call back with a great offer that you will accept.

The offer will be just as good as those where they guarantee your home sales within 90 days.

Has the Q7 been discussed here? It's pretty good; test drove one recently

You can also get a few Land Rovers (Sport, Discovery and Defender) which have 7 seater options. No room for luggage though.

I'd rather see her take her chances on a Hyundai then a Land Rover haha

We bought my father a Pacific Hybrid a couple years ago now. Yes it's dirty, had drove it out and back to our farm in the rain and haven't washed it for him yet. For putting around town, it was excellent for him (he's not ambulatory right now and we're looking after him, so I drive his van every now and then), as plugging it into the regular power wall socket slow charger would charge it overnight to 100% in about 8 hours usually, and give him a good 50km in the winter with all the lights/heat/etc on and running. So far as a van goes, I like it. The new ones with AWD is what I'd get him again now, but you can't combine AWD with the plug in hybrid system, it's one or the other, which is dumb IMO on Chrysler's part. The top end Pacifica AWD has a pretty decent interior.

    Anyone here have an Aviator?

The Infiniti is going to be a wait, and the dealers are annoying.

I was waiting on news of the Defender 130, but it looks like it will be 8 passenger only, no captains chairs option.

So I'm shifting focus to the Lincoln to see if it is a fit.

No captains chairs is a miss for that car.

Sat in one and drove a corsair in the hunt for our PHEV. The Aviator PHEV was the same price of the likes of the BMW X3 PHEV and Volvo XC60 yet more than the Lexus 450h. The quality was good but not even comparable for the dollar and the gas engine was weird and droney. Also CVT....but that is the PHEV and not the 3.5L TT you would get so ymmv.
