Toronto is routinely ranked as one of the wealthiest cities in the world, and there is no shortage of goods and services catering to that wealth, so it seems that most problems someone would have with Toronto could be solved by the ever-pertinent don't be poor.
Don't like long commutes? Stop being poor and buy in Rosedale.
Don't like the winters? Don't be poor and PJ down the the Bahamas like any other good (non-poor) Torontonian.
And even if we're talking about visiting rather than living, those same things make it an infinitely more interesting place to visit. I spent a little over two weeks out there & Muskoka back in July and then had the misfortune of being out in Invermere last weekend... Fuck, is that ever a sobbering juxtaposition.
