I like the idea of dedicating some additional time to mobility type stuff.
But I basically hate yoga culture.

Been doing it at home first thing in the morning by following this youtuber that a friend recommended

Just do the Asian deep squat and do dead hangs off a pull up bar. Simple and good.
And diamond Dallas page yoga is money from what I hear

Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
Just hire some chick to come stretch you out a few times a day.
That’s the don’t be poor solution.

There are always several dudes of varying backgrounds in a yoga class - you can participate without buying into the culture. Just follow the routine and don't be a créme püff if the instructor says something about grounding your soul.

You could try a martial art for mobility type stuff. Not mma, but a traditional form over function type art.
MAGA = My Ass Got Arrested.
Beware the passive aggressive Mean Girls. Vengie, Killramos, Penismightier, buster, jrscoolude, etc who bully others into their circle jerk opinion, serially negging you, while claiming they ignore you and don't obsess over you.
PSA. High school is not a popularity contest little girls

Awesome place. What I would do is get an intro month, try it out, then try an intro month at another studio until you find something you really like. Go to the beginner classes for a while until you get a feel for the basic poses etc.
There was a place near me that just did yoga without the bullshit.
YMCA has classes too.
Try the naked yoga classes.
Keep at it, you'll be able to suck your own dick soon.
There will definitely be some there if I can find them here. I wasn't super keen on going initially because of that and, well, yoga. But it's way harder than you imagine are far better than normal people give it credit for. I haven't made it any kind of priority but am intending to over the winter, it'll save me from a lot of recurring and new injuries. If someone says yoga is useless they're definitely ignorant to the topic.

I'm starting to get tendonitis in my achilles from a tight posterior chain ( @suntan ), and I'd like to open my hips up for better squatting ( @suntan ).This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
if you find a place, please share. After my lumbar fusion 10 years ago, I started going to various yoga places but didn't love all the spiritual bullshit. I was thinking about going again a few weeks ago but then remembered how agitated I would get when I went.
I only know downward doggy, my top likes it that way. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The physical part of yoga is excellent and not bullshit. If the other part is getting you agitated, you should try somewhere else, or just use that time to focus on your plans for world domination, or just stare are the tight chicks ahead of you. Lot of options guys.
When we first moved to Calgary I used to tag along with my wife to Breathe Hot Yoga over in McKenzie Towne. I really liked them and didn't find it overly hippie dippy except the music some of the instructors played. I would like to think that would be the general vibe that place is going for so I can't imagine it's changed too much

If you can't tune shitty music out you've never gone to gyms, christmas (or any retail) shopping, been on hold, or ridden in an elevator.

How about pilates? Is there a spiritual aspect to that one? Just buy the rack and do it at home with assistance of youtube?
Isn't Pilates the cousin of yoga who shaves her pits and doesn't bathe in patchouli?
Edit - same time as ecchry
Yeah, rich conservatives always talk about it, so I assume it’s void of the hippy shitThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I don’t have a good answer for you but I’ve been doing 1-1.5 hours per day for the last couple months in prep for snowboarding season and it has been very worthwhile. I’ve just been using YouTube.
