Hadn't heard of the breed but of course the first dozen pics that show up all have cropped ears. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

That's the north side of Ellerslie road in "Summerside". It's all brown town there. It's essentially the new Millwoods. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
There’s a few breeds like that, they’re basically monsters. Anyone that buys one does it solely for the image of it being a big scary animal. I know a person that got a couple of Presa Canarios for that reason (yes, he’s a massive douchebag). This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Saw a truck with a decal of cartoon Pitbulls on its rear window with the caption "Don't bully my breed!". I'm sure this won't be a surprise to anyone here but it was a RAM.
Made me think of this thread.
The solution to all of this is not difficult:
1. All dogs must have technology implanted which can be scanned by NFC to identify the owner. Not present? Dog is immediately destroyed. No exceptions. No appeals.
2. If your dog bites/harms/aggravates/threatens/kills, the registered owner attached the NFC is charged with the relevant crime, treating the dog as if it were a weapon like a knife or a gun or a brick.
Also I hate dogs because they are stupid and disgusting.
Am I an elevated human being because I think dogs are stupid and disgusting and I do not like to be in the presence of stupid and disgusting?
Yes, yes I am.
Also, despite my overall rancor on this subject, and others, I am capable of making human friends. So I don't need to create a delusion for myself by purchasing the "love" of a stupid and disgusting "friend" by supplying it with food and shelter.
As an owner of two stupid and disgusting animals, I wholeheartedly agree with this. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Best part is any responsible pet owner already has said NFC tag in their dog to the best of my knowledge. Every dog I’ve ever had was chipped and tattoo’s.
Is there some nominal cost is establishing the registry? Sure. Bake it into licensing fees so it’s not a burden to normal people.

I think most of what Buster says is grumpy old man yelling at clouds stuff but I am fully in support of that statement. I love dogs, and if my dog hurts or kills a human I should be charged as if I did it with a weapon. So I guess.... buster for president?

Yes. Although I'm not sure I remember the last time someone died from a child biteThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Of course a child doesn't have to bite to kill. Such as the recent case out of states where a 10 yr old girl killed a 2 year or something old baby by repeatedly stomping on his head when he was crying.
Yeah. We have a pretty robust legal framework for humans killing humans.
Dog kills humans?
Bunch of shrugs all around.
Apparently nothing happened to the 10 yr old cause too young to prosecute. Dogs get put down (rightfully so) for the most part if they kill.
I do agree tho, there needs to be more accountability on the owners' part where such a dog is concerned/involved.

This seems like a great application for prosecuting the parents. Much like what's being proposed here for dog owners. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Number of humans killed in Canada by dogs vs by children too young to prosecute? has to be 10:1?
