Banks will only take coin if it is rolled in proper rollers.
Not sure if anywhere has change machines or converters like the US. Could try a casino?

Donate it to a local charity that takes cash? They can have the hassle of rolling it for money, you get a tax receipt.

I rolled a jar of coins I had and ended up with $100.
I know some places have one of those machines that you dump the whole thing in and it'll roll everything for you. It charges a small percentage though and I think Costco has one,
^
I've never seen one in Canada. They're all over the place in the US.
^^ The superstore off country hills has one. At least this is what my buddy is telling me.
I've seen those machines in Ontario.
will take me forever to roll all those coins
I'm about to roll up my bucket of change and should net about $400 as I put $1 and $2 coins in (great way to save spending money for a vacation). I do it the old fashioned way, but isn't there one of those as seen on TV gadgets where you dump it in and it seperates all the coints into different trays?
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

Just sit down and watch a movie you've seen before, something simple, or funny, and roll away.
Also, the bank will give you rollers if you need them.
Just took in 453 bucks last week. Fuckin Heavy, lol.

yeh, those coin machines would be awesome, but i think the ones in the US take 10%
coinstar.com is the site, but they dont have any in alberta... probably something to do with the laws, they prolly have to register as a bank or something to take your money and charge a fee.

I had one of those when I was younger (some gay gift from someone along the way) It never worked right though from what I remember. The coins would get cock-eyed and not fill the rolls properly.Originally posted by Mckenzie

Some car washes have machines that will give you loonies for nickels, dimes and quarters.
