Sent you a note.. not sure the BB would fit on mine (have a PF86 in it currently)

the crankset might work but yeah you might need a PF BB.
maybe your current one will fit. else I see that Shimano has a BB86

Nope Nope. I would not take the risk of a potential failure. I've heard horror stories of other china carbon parts....This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Out of curiosity but do you know someone personally that had china carbon parts fail on them or mostly online stories? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
But yeah, I've been thinking about it the past couple of days and have decided not to look into chinese carbon wheels for now. Not because I'm worried about failing parts but mostly because I want to see how the stock wheels perform first. Also I can buy more reputable brand for the same price or slightly more.
My skills are no where near to require buying a set of wheels that cost as much or more than my bike lol
Yes, personally and first hand. ie: I was riding with someone when a set of carbon aerobars failed sending them head first into the ground. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Another friend of mine had a carbon frame fail.
that will definitely refrain someone from getting chinese carbon parts.
yeah.. I think I'm going to save for more reputable wheels.
I've been running carbon wheels on my mountain bikes for years.
Many of the carbon wheels you would buy are manufactured in China, at the same facilities. A lot of the "boutique" carbon wheel manufacturers are just re-branded Light Bicycle (or similar) wheels.
I can't speak for the handlebars, frames, etc. But the Chinese Carbon wheel industry is quite mature at this point. I just built up some Carbonfan wheels with some Onyx hubs.
If you're training with power indoors already, not using a power meter outdoors negates a lot of the benefit unless you're very good at feeling out your RPE outdoors. Yes using a power meter is good for calculating training levels etc, but where you get the benefit after doing all the training indoors will be translating those numbers you're used to seeing indoors, outdoors.
I would consider Chinese carbon wheels, but only from a well documented brand like FSE. But for the price difference, I'd rather ride a set of FLO wheels which are wind tunnel and real world aero tested.
Pretty well basing it off of HR right now. Know that my threshold HR is pretty close to threshold power.. one issue is that after the swim for the tri, it took forever for my HR to dropThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Increase your kick when you're almost finished the swim. Helps with blood flow and the transition from prone to vertical. When you get on the bike start in an easy gear, take in some water and get settled for a minute. Then get on the power. Gotta love the dizziness coming out of cold water....lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Might be more tempted by this one:

Going to the bike shop to figure out wtf my BB is and how much that will make my life hell if i go the crank one instead. Pros/Cons between crank vs pedal?
I went pedal based initially (garmin) figuring I would swap them between bikes. I never did, plus love my speedplays pedals (really hate heavy feeling pedals), and the garmin made me run look cleats. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
But nothing wrong with pedal based
Later switched to crank based on my dedicated tri bike, and the rest of my bikes I don't bother...
The only issues I've had with crank based is interfering with rear-aero brakes under the frame. Power meter on the inside of the crank interferes with the clearance/action of the rear brake.
Let me know about the BB. Have a bunch lying around.

I wouldn't even consider either of those eBay links. Too sketchy. But yeah, like buh_buh says, for a bit more, I'd wait for the next FLO sale. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
50% off everything the Red Hook Shop with coupon code rhc50. Bought some Castelli bibs and random crap I probably don’t need. They’ve got a set of FFWD tubulars on there too I think the 50% off applies to.
I’m using pedal based too (Vector 2), and I do swap them between my bikes which is why I got them. I wish they were easier to swap, as the pods are a bit annoying but it’s not a huge deal. The gf has the Powertap P1 and they seem pretty good. Neither of us have had issues with our power meters.
I've had good luck with Reynolds wheels. Usually can find them for prices close to the FLOs and quite a bit lighter. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Bow Cycle temp sale on the 28th.
The % off is the temperature in the negatives.
Which Reynolds are you running that are a lot lighter than FLOs? I never thought FLOs were lightweights, but thought they were pretty decent at ~1700g for a 60mm rim. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
