I say stupid shit all the time.
I guess Craig Mack dying the same day, clinking some empty pop bottles together, asking all the Bad Boys to come out and play, Mr. Hawking just couldn't resist...

Very sad indeed. I really enjoyed the movie they did about him a few years ago.
Nature did a nice obituary for him.

I didnt follow him much, and dint know he was such an activist.
"Here is a photo of a young Stephen Hawking (with the canes) in London marching against the war in Vietnam in 1969.
More than 30 years later he spoke out fervently against the war in Iraq. He also joined the BDS movement against Israel, calling the situation "like that in South Africa before 1990. It cannot continue."
He wasn't just one of the most brilliant minds of our times, he was also someone with a social conscience and critical of capitalism, saying:
"If machines produce everything we need, the outcome will depend on how things are distributed. Everyone can enjoy a life of luxurious leisure if the machine-produced wealth is shared, or most people can end up miserably poor if the machine-owners successfully lobby against wealth redistribution. So far, the trend seems to be toward the second option, with technology driving ever-increasing inequality."
Rest in power, Stephen Hawking."

It has taken some time, but his final theories are really messing with scientists.
The Universe is in fact: Flat.
Yes, its flat - almost like what some people believe the earth to be. Our universe is simply a "3D projection" of the flatness, and only appears to be 3 dimensional because we are trapped in it. Since it is a "projection" we are in fact - in a "matrix" of reality.
It goes a long wait to explaining radiation and red blue shift, that everything seems to radiate from a central point.
Embrace the flatness.

absolute zero represents the motionlessness of a particle. How can you take something that is stopped, and make it stop more?

Hawking got on the crazy train a long time ago. I think the physics world has just tolerated him out of respect (and good PR).This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I don’t even think that is hawkins’ theory, pretty sure that idea has been proposed by several scientistsThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
What theory? Absolute zero? That's just a definition thing. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Haha no no, I was referring to your comment about Stephen hawking being off his rocker for The 2d/holographic universe theory you quotedThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
