I've always thought these were cool, but never really looked into if an import is impossible or just hard.

The original you should be able to. The 2017 model would likely be subject to the 15 year rule.
Get a property in Europe and keep it registered there. EZPZ
Maybe once brexit is finalized that will actually be a good idea

Here is the list of admissible vehicles that are newer than 15 years old: https://www.tc.gc.ca/motorvehiclesaf...Section3_0.htm
Renault isn't listed so I believe that means they would be inadmissible until they reach the 15 year old mark. However, the old ones should be allowed no problem
I know that @rage2 has imported newer vehicle in the past
from the US, i dont think he's done one from Europe. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The one loophole is to have it registered in EU and come here on a VISA. You can apparently drive the vehicle here temporary while on the VISA.
There’s a visa temporary import loophole. It’s a pain in the ass. I did it the easier way. Get a house in Montana, get a drivers license, and register it there. Shelby will forever be my 2nd home. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

But the US has more restrictive import laws than Canada, don't they? Did you do this for one of those weird ones that is American built and can't be modified to meet the Canadian bumper standards? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I was only replying to importing a newer model car. The CLK black didn’t qualify for Canadian import because it couldn’t install child seats or something stupid. Speaking of which my car is still around. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Even after all these years, that car still looks like a beast. Cool to see how you found it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Can someone with a Twitter account DM renault about bringing this here?
Ah mystery solved! Saw one last year in Tokyo and had no idea what car it was...
So are you going to find a way to get one here or what?
